Standard Features
Online Set up Wizard
Implementing your PrintSpot service is easy. An online wizard guides you through the installation step by step. In no more than 30 minutes your service can be up and running and your customers can be printing immediately.
Print Delivery Station
Print Delivery Station (PDS) is a lightweight application that offers the most commonly needed functions for print delivery. This acts as the print queue at the PrintSpot and allows the customer or an attendant to release print jobs using their email address, privacy code, or other user information. The Print Delivery Station can reside on any low end PC and it does not have to be a dedicated machine. The Print Delivery Station can be configured for Privacy Release or Automatic Release.
PrinterOn Desktop Icon
This optional icon places a button on the Print Delivery Station computer where customers release their print jobs, ensuring an easy to find shortcut to your print release web page. Running as a service, the icon automatically locates the address of your web page.
Search, AutoFind feature to automatically locate your property
Using IP location technology, your printing service web page can immediately be presented to your customers when they visit www.printspots.com. A comprehensive geographical search is also available.
Managing your Service
Managing your service, making changes or updating you account is easy with the online management tool. Using your login at the "Manage my Service" link you can:
- Add a printer
- Take your service temporarily offline (for example, for printer maintenance)
- Get printer usage reports
- Add more administrators to your service
Options
These options are all available with your PrintSpot service. You choose the options that best suit your unique needs.
Payment Options
PrinterOn provides an open API that can be simply integrated with your Internet provider or business center provider to charge the customer directly or to use another other payment system.
PrintValet
This is an optional hardware add-on to Print Delivery Station that enables guests to release print jobs that have been securely queued on Print Delivery Station from a separate numeric keypad instead of a computer.
Print Release Client
This is a desktop application, which enables users from any workstation to easily manage and release print jobs that have been securely queued on your Print Delivery Station server. PRC is also designed for compatibility with existing print cost recovery systems.
Reprints
This feature resides in the Print Delivery Station and allows the customer to reprint jobs for a set amount of time. This is very helpful in cases where there has been an error with the printer (for example, due to a printer paper jam).
Printer Hours
With this feature printer hours can be set to automatically take the service offline and an appropriate message is be displayed to users. This is useful in situations where the printer is located in an area that is only open from 9am to 5pm, for example.
Email Printing
In the case where the user is printing from an Email device, the job's release code is sent to the user in an email.
