Download and install the USB-to-Serial Driver for Print Valet™

Print Valet keypads with a USB connector require a USB-to-serial driver. As of version 1.0BD of the PDS installer, the USB to Serial driver is included in the installer package.

If you choose to download and manually install the USB-to-Serial driver, follow the instructions below.

 Download the Driver

Click Download and save the file to your hard drive.

After the download completes, simply run the installer.

Supports 32-bit versions of Windows® 2000 and later
and 64-bit versions of Windows XP and later.

Configure the Driver  


Once the USB-to-Serial Driver is installed, Windows will automatically recognize and enable your Print Valet keypad when you plug it in.

You can confirm this by opening the Device Manager:



If the Device Manager doesn't show a USB Serial Port, you may need to trigger a 'Scan for hardware changes':
