Print Delivery Station - Interface for releasing print jobs

Used in conjunction with one of our printing services, Print Delivery Station performs two main tasks:

• It collects print jobs from the Print Delivery Hub (available separately) sent through PrinterOn's printing services (Hotel Guest Printing, or PrintSpots, for example). The Hub creates an IPP interface for your printers and provides a secure means of transferring print jobs through your firewall to the Print Delivery Station.
  
  
• It provides a Privacy Release interface for allowing users to release their documents when they are present at the printer. This provides privacy for the user and prevents unwanted print jobs from printing. Documents are secure and encrypted until they are released.

When used together, the Hub and Station are ideal for companies that:

• Have printers that do not have an IPP interface
• Are trying to conserve their IP address space
• Want to offer end-to-end print encryption
• Do not want inbound print traffic through a firewall
• Offer printing in a public environment

Additional components

		Desktop icon (recommended) This is a button you can place on the workstation where users will be going to release their print jobs, providing an easy shortcut to your Print Delivery Station web page.
		Print Valet (optional) This integration enables users to release print jobs that have been securely queued on your Print Delivery Station server from a separate numeric keypad instead of a workstation. This is particularly beneficial to hotels with busy business centers.
		Print Release Client (optional) This is a desktop application which enables users from any work station to easily manage and release print jobs that have been securely queued on your Print Delivery Station server. PRC is also designed for compatibility with existing print cost recovery systems.

Downloading the Hub

The Print Delivery Hub component is usually hosted by PrinterOn as part of a printing service package. If you wish to install the Hub at your organization, contact support@printeron.com.
